Love this

´Mod Revolution´ by Daniel Jackson for Vogue China February 2013

Very nice editorial. Proves my point from my last post;) Black and white it is then! Hmmm this makes me want to dye my hair dark again...

Mod-ness

Photos via pinterest

Sooo, I´ve been thinking about the spring shows, and what we can be expecting in the high street shops-what trends are really going to be hits next season. Now I know I already talked about what I thought stood out at the spring shows and all but I went back to it and I don´t think I stressed how much I´m seeing black and white this spring and the influence from 60´s Mod period. Miss Edie Sedwick was one of the leading ladies of that time and fashion, I might add-and lets not forget, a muse for so many men and women. Haha I just realized I have her haircut. Not bad!
As I was saying-I think the swinging 60´s will definitely be one of the big trends this spring. The spring show at Louis Vuitton was all that and I thought Prada did kind of a more modern spin on it and added some asian influence to dubb it a little.

And just some random inspiring 60´s pics. Man, got to love Twiggy, sooo pretty! I think we´ll be seeing some cute shift dresses this spring along with some striped shirts, and lots of black and white.

Hope you´re all enjoying the weekend!

Givenchy pre-fall

Photos via style.com

Riccardo  Tisci has long been one of my favourite designers. Here we have his pre-fall, or some of the looks I feel are interesting. Boy oh boy, they´re all really pushing the ´´skirts over pants´´ look. It´s really starting to grow on me though. This line was very masculine but intertwined with details such as ruffles and soft, sheer material that made it still feminine. I really like how versatile he made the pieces-fancy ruffles could be worn with a beat up t-shirt, there is a leather dress with a parka tied around the waist-which is by the way seen everywhere now (a nice homage to 90´s grunge ). He throws in some nice prints, manly loafers (LOVE) and mixes it all together. Nice color palette. I like the styling here also. All in all a very good job.
He´s always one to set trends and I believe here we can see a lot of interesting things evolving.

Hope you have a good one,

Céline pre-fall

Photos via style.com

Ok, so Phoebe Philo has redeemed herself for spring ´13 which was, lets face it, just not that good. Here she       offers us lots of goodies, such as nicely tailored men inspired long coats, (btw I LOVE long coats), suits, all very nice I think. Although I have one bad thing to mention and that is about the shoes..Aren´t those done already? Hmm..guess not since miss Philo says otherwise. Kidding, I think they´re over, but I always like a reference like this one, for me it goes out to the girls in Harajuku- you know, with all their dolly platforms and all. Anyhow- I think the designer is back on track so I´m very happy! More where this came from please?!
And I´m totally smitten with that teddy bear overcoat on picture number 6.

Acne pre-fall

Helllllooo and happy new year! Yes I´m back. Thought I´d given up huh? Nope, was only pondering a little too long.. So I have a good feeling towards this year-it´s gonna be good, GOOD I tell ya! Then again I always state that. Good to be optimistic though, right?! Anyways-I´ve been preocupied in my own thoughts recently but have decided to come from under my pelts again (anyone get this?). Also I have one advise for you lovely folks: NEVER CUT YOUR HAIR! That´s right, I´m admitting I did wrong there. I officially hate it. That´s why you haven´t seen any new pics. But what´s done is done. Siigghhh...
I have a lot of fashion catching up to do so here goes. Let´s keep on examining those pre-fall, or those I think worthy of:)
Now I showed you some Phillip Lim pre-fall the other day-one of my faves so now here comes some more.
Acne- Now I´ve seriously become their fan. With all the oversized manly stuff they´re doing, what´s not to love?! I think their pre-fall looks very promising. Lots of oversized coats, jackets-layering..the open boots (although it´s getting kind of tired after all the Balenciaga copied ones..). What I really like about this collection is the relaxed feel, very much of what I´m into right now, nothing over done, everything very: I just woke up and threw this on and then some more over it to make it ´´sleep walk´´ fashion. Hahaha that´s it- that´s the word: Sleep walk fashion!
But if you notice it´s actually very carefully crafted and thought out.

P.S. Outfits number four and five are my favourite ones

I sincerely hope ya´ll have a great year and lots of love!
